As of 2005, the Detroit Maphilindo’s have established a training facility in Oak Park, Michigan to serve the needs of our students in the Law Enforcement community as well as the private sector. The philosophy of our teaching is to emphasize professionalism over commercialism, so please understand this is not a run-of-the-mill commercial school where any member of the general public may apply. Nor is it a "casual workout club." There are rules and protocols which must be followed by all members in keeping with our standards.

We make an extraordinary effort to ensure that only the most dedicated and serious students receive access to the instruction we offer. 

Introductory training is by APPOINTMENT ONLY with no exceptions. We do not allow drop-ins. Your initial visit must be arranged via telephone or email at least one week in advance. Priority is given to referrals from current students/associates.

New students are accepted on a probationary basis. Following the term of probation, students will either be given the opportunity to attend advanced classes, or will be dismissed. We reserve the right to refuse admittance to anyone for any reason.

Our fee schedule is structured around monthly or weekly sessions, based on private or group training.
